For Parents

Your child doesn't have to blend in.

If your child thinks their own way, asks a lot of questions and is sometimes "too much" or "not enough" for school norms — that isn't a problem to fix. It's material to build something worthwhile with.

At uNickorns your child learns agency — the sense that they have influence: they can start something, build it, change it. It's the difference between waiting to be told what to do and seeing a problem and getting to work.

They build real confidence — not from praise, but from things they've actually made. Along the way they practise independent thinking, acting despite uncertainty, cooperation and responsibility.

We don't promise a "millionaire in 30 days" or drown them in empty affirmations. We don't replace school. We offer something else — a place where your child does and learns by making, and where their difference is an asset, not a problem.

What they get

Evidence, not certificates. Something they made, defended, and can point to.

What we won't do

Tell them they're behind. Sell you urgency. Make them feel small.

What we ask of you

Give them room to try. Ask what they made, not what grade they got.

Questions parents ask

Straight answers.

Does this replace school?

No. Almost all our students are also in school or being homeschooled. uNickorns fills the gap between what school teaches and what actually decides whether your child thrives once they're out.

What are the outcomes?

Concrete evidence your teenager can hold. A project they shipped, a talk they gave, a prototype they built. Not certificates. Proof.

Is it safe? Who are the coaches?

All coaches are vetted, DBS-checked (or local equivalent) educators or practitioners in their field. Small groups. Clear conduct policies. Full transparency with parents.

How does AI fit in?

As a thinking partner, never a shortcut around thinking. Your teenager learns to prompt, push back, and know when to close the tab. Full details on our Ideas page.

How much time does it take?

Courses run in fixed blocks with a clear weekly time commitment. We tell you exactly what's expected before you sign up. We're not trying to eat their week.

What if my child doesn't fit the standard mould?

That's who we built this for. Originality, intensity, sensitivity, unusual pace — treated as information, not problems to manage.
